Region 3 Beta Launch: We Love VFR Latest MSFS Add-on Covers Asia and Oceania

PuffinFlight, the creator of the popular Microsoft Flight Simulator add-on, We Love VFR, has just launched the beta version of Region 3. This latest release provides comprehensive coverage of VFR-friendly structures worldwide, making it a must-have for aviation enthusiasts who enjoy low and slow flights over stunning landscapes.

We Love VFR

We Love VFR is a mod that enriches the MSFS world with thousands of realistic objects, including antennas, radio towers, wind turbines, chimneys, and cranes. These objects not only enhance the scenery but also assist pilots in VFR navigation, transforming the use of VFR charts into a real treat in the simulator.

With the inclusion of Region 3, the add-on now covers Asia and Oceania, adding coverage for countries such as Japan, Australia, and New Zealand. The mod is based on OpenStreetMap data, which reflects the state of a particular region in the service. Although some inaccurate placements or absences may occur, the dataset provides a comprehensive list of many of the most significant structures worldwide.

Custom objects and a range of effects and animations are included for each structure. Industrial complexes’ chimneys emit smoke or fire, while wind turbines rotate according to wind speed and direction, making the flying experience even more immersive and realistic.

The Region 3 beta release allows anyone to try the add-on, but PuffinFlight requests users not to reupload the mod anywhere and to provide feedback in the designated channels for feedback and data corrections. The full version is expected to launch later this month.

We Love VFR is one of the best mods for MSFS, paid or free, and adds immersion and realism to the already stunning world in Microsoft Flight Simulator. It’s an essential add-on for anyone who loves flying low and slow over scenic landscapes.
