PMDG has released a new series of updates for the entire PMDG 737 for Microsoft Flight Simulator product line, including the 737-600/700/800/900 airplanes. The latest update cycle is aimed at fixing small details and adding improvements to the entire product line, moving the quality forward.
Update Operations Center
However, before updating your PMDG 737, there is an important NOTAM that you should read. PMDG has broken the PMDG Operations Center update process, and to fix it, manual action is required this time. Therefore, you need to un-stick its workflow before updating the product. PMDG suggests two methods to do this.
The first method requires navigating to the directory C:\Users{username} \AppData\Roaming\PMDG\PMDG Operations Center and running the OpsCenterUpdater.exe file as an administrator. The second method is to re-download any one P3D/MSFS product from your PMDG account from www.pmdg.com and reinstall that product. The installer will manually trigger the update process and replace the Operations Center with the new, corrected version.
It’s essential to note that some Avast and AVG users are reporting problems that are created by their antivirus software not liking the fact that Operations Center must talk to the outside world to operate. PMDG has taken the necessary steps to notify them, but they cannot control those third-party software items, and thus cannot force those vendors to correct the false positives.
Once you have un-stuck the PMDG Operations Center, you can update your PMDG 737 by launching the PMDG Operations Center, going to the Aircraft and Liveries tab, then Product Updates. Click on the button associated with your 737 product, and the update will be automatically installed for you.

PMDG Beta Channel
In addition to the recent PMDG update series, the team is also focusing on the Microsoft Flight Simulator beta channel and the recently released SU12 update. However, the team needs to be cautious when making changes for SU12 to avoid breaking things in the current public version. Therefore, updates for users of SU12 may be held off until its public release.
The PMDG team plans to offer a beta channel in the Operations Center in the future, allowing them to push both stable and beta channels simultaneously. However, this is a long-term plan behind higher priority items such as the tablet and other product improvements.
Overall, the PMDG update is a significant improvement over the previous version, providing a more realistic and immersive experience for pilots. The updated features make the simulator more accurate and enjoyable to use, making it an essential upgrade for any serious flight simulator enthusiast.
